How is payment dealt with?
All payment goes through Verotel Inc. which is the intermediary for thousands of pay sites, erotic as well as non-erotic. Here you buy a “security pass” that works for Sexkanaler. When you make your purchase you will be sent on to Verotel’s homepage where you will buy the access. After receiving your username and password directly from Verotel, you may then go on and use it at our site .
What will appear on my bank statement?
Verotel.com and nothing else, nothing on the lines of Porn or Sexkanaler or anything even remotely like that. Your bank adviser and your partner or spouse won’t even raise an eyebrow!
What about security?
All sensitive personal data, credit card numbers for instance, are transmitted with 128-bit SSL encryption directly between your computer and Verotel. This is the same security level that most home banking systems use, at no point will we ever see your credit card number.
Do I have to fill in my real name when paying with a Visa card?
YES! Verotel checks whether the typed name matches that on the card. If the names don’t match, the transaction is NOT approved.
Will I receive spam if I join?
NO! Partly because we have a policy of NEVER sending mail to our subscribers unless they specifically request it and partly because Verotel has a very strict policy of its own concerning spam which you can read at their website.
How long will I have to wait for access after I’ve joined?
Less than 30 seconds after your payment has been approved
Technical aspects
What does require of my computer?
We recommend that you at least have a standard PentiumII with 64MB ram. You must have Windows Media Player installed in order to view the films.
Error: Access Denied - Invalid referring domain ...
This occurs typically in the following situations:
a. If you are using a firewall such as the Norton Internet Firewall this problem will arise. It can be solved in the following ways: The easy way: Disconnect the firewall when using our channels. The hard way: Change the rule that removes referrer fields from the browser remit.
b. There are some settings in the Internet Explorer that are incorrect. Go into Internet Options-> Security and set it at standard (default).
c. The error may also be due to an obsolete browser, we recommend the Internet Explorer 6.0 which you may also download from us for free.
Nothing happens when I log on
There is occasionally a problem with the Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 when it doesn’t accept our cookies, this is due to the way the page is built up. This is easily solved, at the bottom right of the browser window, to the left of the text Internet, there is a red symbol. Click on this red symbol and a dialogue box will appear with the rejected cookies. Right click each of them and give them access. This makes no difference in security terms but it does solve the problem!
I am a happy Mac user, is this a problem?
Not at all, all you have to do is fetch the Windows Media Player for Mac from us for free, we have both the OSX and the OS9 versions. You may then continue being a proud Mac owner.
Do I really have to have ADSL?
No! However ADSL and ISDN do provide an advantage since the films are relatively heavy. Of course you can view although you have a 56K modem but then you have to wait a few minutes while the films are fed to you.
